Bio: Kathy was born the fourth of five children in a suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Music was a big part of her family, and she began teaching piano lessons when she was 17 and still teaches today. Kathy graduated in 1982 from Crown College in MN with a double-major in Christian Education and Bible, and a minor in Music. While getting her M.A. in Missions and Bible/Theology at Columbia International University, she met Vic Copan. While Vic attended Trinity Seminary in the Chicago area, she worked in Public Relation at Kraft, Inc.’s International Headquarters. From 1989 to 2004, Vic and Kathy worked as missionaries in Vienna, Austria with The Navigators. Vic’s job as a professor at Palm Beach Atlantic University brought the Copan family to Florida. The Copans have three children: Annaliesa, Andreas and Benji. Since May 1, 2006, Kathy has been serving as the Director of Discipleship and Equipping for Community of Hope. When she's not working, she enjoys reading, playing tennis, waterskiing and jogging.
